In the ‘Companies’ tab, you will find all companies from which the Fabric BI Connector can import data.
Only administrators can add or modify companies. A user without administrator rights can only view the list of companies, allowing them to look up the administration code.

Companies can be added to the list in two ways: by importing them from Exact Online or by adding them manually.
Importing companies
To import companies, the connection with Exact Online must first be set up, as explained in 1.3 Connectors. After that, the ‘Import companies’ button becomes visible.
The process is as follows:
- Click ‘Import companies’ and choose ‘Exact Online (Fabric)’.
- Select the companies you want to add.
- Click Import.
The companies will now be added to the list, including the companycode and the name as used in Exact Online.
If a company with the same companycode or name already exists, the newly imported company will receive the suffix ‘-1’. You can adjust the companycode and name if needed by clicking the row and editing the fields. The explanation of the input fields is provided below.
Adding a company manually
Click on the button ‘+ Company’ to add a new company.

Enter the following details:
- Administration Code: This is a self-chosen number for the company, for example, a known customer number or company number. (This administration code will later be used in Fabric to import the company’s data.)
- Name: The name of the company.
- Tags (optional): Tags allow you to group companies, making them easier to search and filter. During import in Fabric, you can also use tags to load a group of companies with the same tag in one go. If you later add companies to a tag, they will automatically be included in the Fabric import.
- Users: Select the users who are allowed to import data for this company.
- Connectors: Check the option Exact Online (Fabric) and enter the division code of the Exact Online administration. If you are also using the Power BI Connector for Exact Online, its division code will be reused. (Each administration in Exact Online has a unique division code. Below you will find instructions on where to locate the division code in Exact Online.)
Click Save to create the company.
